One of Velaro’s top priorities is to keep your information secure. All services are secured by both physical and technological systems to protect your information. Chats and transactions are encrypted using 256-bit SSL encryption (secure socket layer) standards. We also use state-of-the-art firewalls and other third party services to provide reliable, safe and trusted interactions between you and your customers.

Velaro does provide additional security features which can be utilized by our enterprise customers. To find these features, please log into the Velaro Application (app.velaro.com) and navigate to the Admin section and open the Account > Security tab.

From here the available options are split into 3 tabs: Chatting, Password, and Login Restrictions.

Chatting – This section also includes 3 sections: Agents, Visitors, and Storage settings related to chatting.

Agents

Allow agents to email transcripts – Allows you to turn off the agent’s ability to email chat transcripts from the Engagement Screen.

Allow agent-to-agent chats – Allows you to disable the ability for agents to communicate with each other directly in the Application.

Allow agents to reject chats that are queued – Allows you to disable the reject feature in queues, leaving the agent only with the ability to accept, ignore, or view the visitor’s info.

Allow agents to copy chat transcripts to clipboard Allows you to disable the copy feature in the Engagement Screen.

Allow agents to push web pages during chat Allows you to disable the push function in the agent desktop, forcing agents to either directly type or copy in hyperlinks.

Visitors

Allow visitors to copy chat transcripts to clipboard Allows you to disable the copy feature for a visitor.

Mask credit card numbers during chat – Allows you to mask credit card numbers entered by visitors in the chat. The numbers are replaced with a corresponding number of X’s.

Storage

Disable chat archival – Velaro by default saves your transcripts to retrieve through the Control Panel/Scheduled Reports. This allows you to disable that storage.

Disable storage of visitor email and name – Prevents visitor’s email and name from being stored in chat history.

Mask credit card numbers when archiving chats – Allows you to mask credit card numbers when the chat is stored; the number is replaced by a corresponding number of X’s.
** Please Note: The credit card numbers get masked as long as they conform to the pattern for each brand with or without –‘s.**

Example
Visa: 4266123456789999 will be masked as XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
MasterCard : 5455-1234-5678-9999 will be masked as XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
