Open Position: Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven software sales representative with the ability to initiate long standing relationships with prospective clients.  Velaro software sales reps play a vital, frontline role in closing new business opportunities while managing and growing existing business accounts. This results-driven position will prospect the market in order to qualify leads and establish new client partnerships. As a Velaro software sales rep, you will be on the ground floor of a dynamic, industry leading organization selling the very latest in Live Chat software technology. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Execute sales territory plan to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual goals
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities while increasing revenue in existing accounts
  • Develop pipeline in sales territory through inbound live chat inquires, new lead follow ups, phone/email prospecting
  • Manage opportunities through varied sales stages to closure while mitigating risk and maximizing upside
  • Anticipate and effectively negotiate contract issues
  • Properly document in Salesforce all calls, emails and deal activity on a daily basis
  • Schedule and facilitate client meetings, presentations and software demonstrations
  • Closing deals each month
  • Build client confidence and trust by providing exceptional customer service, product expertise and appropriate follow up
  • Interpret client requirements, build knowledge of client challenges and present solutions that directly apply to client needs
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on Velaro products and services and its competitors

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated 2+ years of sales experience, preferably software and SaaS based services
  • Excellent communication and demonstration skills
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial startup type environment
  • Demonstrated ability and drive to close new business
  • Exceptional time management skills and a commitment to accountability

Velaro Inc. is headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland. Qualified candidates may be home-office based and work primarily over the phone to sell the product. This is a highly virtual position with minimal need for travel or face to face meetings.
