Open Position: Account Manager

Velaro is one of the original “software as a service” providers. Our industry-leading live help product suite includes click-to-chat, click-to-call, co-browsing and content targeting. Our success is based on our award winning software as well as the personal attention that we provide prospects and customers.

As an Account Manager, you are the driving force in identifying potential new Velaro clients and turning them into satisfied customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively identify prospective new customers;
  • Guide prospects through the sales process, including needs analysis, presentation and/or product demonstration;
  • Offer assistance in setting up Free Trials;
  • Engage with visitors on our website through Live Chat.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong diplomatic and client facing skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Proficient computer skills. You will be working with MS Word, PowerPoint, GoToMeeting, Google Docs and Salesforce.com.
  • Basic HTML and/or Javascript skills preferred. Ability and interest in learning will be considered;
  • Ability to stay motivated and multi-task in a fast paced environment;
  • Self-disciplined, highly organized, self-learning and confident;
  • Team-oriented, as you will be working with our support team to solve customer issues.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Stay connected with prospects during the sales process;
  • Deliver a minimum of 10 online demonstrations per week;
  • Foster a minimum of 2 new client sales per week;
  • Participate in weekly team meetings.

Velaro offers a competitive compensation plan including base salary, commission and benefits. The majority of your job is based out of our Baltimore, Maryland, office; however, occasional travel for trade shows or face-to-face meetings is required.
