Standard Security
Corporate Friendly
Access to Velaro’s servers is easy even if your organization is working behind a corporate firewall or proxy. Velaro uses standard Internet protocols for all communications and has complete support for working within your corporate environment.
Stability
Agents staff Velaro with a Windows 32-bit client application. The same download works on Windows 98 through Windows 2003. Velaro’s desktop application will reliably maintain a connection to our servers 24 hours a day. And unlike web-only solutions, the Velaro desktop discretely hides itself in your system tray when not in use, this way, your agents cannot accidentally close the window and become unavailable for support.
Scalability
Velaro’s services are hosted in multiple redundant tier-1 facilities and because Velaro uses geographically dispersed back-up systems, your data is always safe. Velaro regularly boasts a 99.95% uptime on a month-to-month basis and offers unprecedented performance when compared to many of the “entry level” providers. Role-Based Security
Velaro provides secure access to different portions of your organization based on each agent’s access level. Agents have the ability to embed private text within a chat that is only available to other agents, or just administrators. Non-administrative agents are prevented from viewing archived chats that they are not authorized to view.

Block Harassment/IP Address
Velaro allows blocking of visitors originating from specified addresses that have become a nuisance or abusive. This bans them from receiving live customer support.

Turn off Chat
Live chat can be disabled for whatever reason you need.
Turn off Email Transcripts
Velaro allows you deactivate the transcript e-mail function within live chat.
Turn off File Send
Velaro allows you to prohibit agents from sending files through live chat.
Turn off Archiving
For institutions that demand the utmost in privacy Velaro allows you to turn off archiving all together.
Show Specific Types of Chats
Velaro allows you to dictate which agents can see which types of chats.
Store chats encrypted
Provide your Velaro account with your own private encryption key and all chats stored in the Velaro database will be hardened by being encrypted.
Limit agent logins by IP address
Limit where your agents can log in from by providing a list of valid Internet IP addresses. Any attempts to log in from locations other than provided will not be allowed.
Force secure SSL connections
Force all your agents to log in using Velaro’s secure SSL connection.
